Contemporary art exhibition “The Borders” by Latvian artist and designer Arturs Analts (Variant Studio) Europe House, 12 Star Gallery, London. The opening event hosted by EU House and Latvian Embassy in London on 6th March 2018.
Arthur Analts exhibition theme - the borders, is very topical both in contemporary culture and in the current political discourses. The exhibition will look at the concept of boundaries as functional, demarcating and emotional – the unity of people and the power of the ideas.
The exhibition will consist of a number of various sized sculptures, that on first look would resemble the iconic fence, however on the deeper inspection it would become aware that the fence pattern actually consists of intelligently interconnected shapes of people. The works of art will look at the meaning and essence of the borders. The boarders are like fences with which we are confined from the world, as well as the boarders can symbolize the boundaries of people and their ideas.
