The NY Knicks and NBA All-Star player Kristaps Porzingis celebrate Latvia's centenary

NBA Franchise the New York Knicks - home of Latvian superstar Kristaps Porziņģis - has announced plans for a special day marking 100 years of Latvia's independence.
April 7 has been designated "Latvian centennial day". The game against the Milwaukee Bucks will "celebrate Latvian Heritage and Latvia's 100th Anniversary".
On the evening, the New York Latvian Choir will sing the American anthem before the ball is bounced and tradional Latvian piragi will be offered for sale.
Latvians from New York and across the U.S. are already making plans to be at the Garden on this special commemorative game night.
