Akureyri Art Museum is opening the exhibition of Latvian contemporary art
From 1 June to 22 September 2019, Iceland’s Northern Capital, Akureyri, will host the exhibition of Latvian contemporary art Talaðu við mig! / Runā ar mani! / Talk To Me! representing works from the collection of the Latvian National Museum of Art.

The exhibition of historical records “We want to be free, we will be free!” is dedicated to the formation of the State of Latvia in the context of showing neighbouring countries Lithuania and Estonia, as well as Poland and Finland, which were founded or reinstated after World War One and also celebrate their centenaries in 2017–2018.

"Matter to Matter" Arthur Analts’ interactive installation on view in Riga
Only 11 days – from 17 to 28 October 2018 – Arthur Analts’ interactive installation Matter to Matter which represented Latvia at the London Design Biennale 2018 and won the Best Design Medal, will be on view at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Riga.
Edgars Mikelsons' exhibition
Mikelsons` works display Riga`s architecture from a totally different perspective. His artwork evokes romantic memories of Riga`s past, featuring buildings and streets that no longer exist or that have radically changed their appearance. More than 60 works will be exhibited.
